Rules in England
Label rules that apply in Ansty
Products you sell from Ansty must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. In Dorset, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
Begin with our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Questions from Ansty brands
Is there a minimum order?
No fixed minimum. Short runs from 250 labels are common for new products, and you can combine several designs in one order.
Do I need to be based in Ansty to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Ansty deliveries go out by tracked courier to DT2.
When will my labels arrive in Ansty?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days after you approve the proof, so most Ansty orders arrive within about a week of sending artwork.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes, we can. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Ansty, so you can feel the materials and finishes before you order.
