FAQs for Begeli
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
What’s the smallest run you print?
No fixed minimum. Many new brands start with 250 labels, and you can mix several designs in one order.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Begeli?
Begeli is in Wales, so the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003 cover your label, alongside the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Which material is best for a protein tub?
Laminated white PP. It copes with powder, moisture and handling, and stays put on curved plastic.
When will my labels arrive in Begeli?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days after you approve the proof, so most Begeli orders arrive about a week after you send artwork.
Rules in Wales
Label rules that apply in Begeli
Supplements sold from Begeli must meet the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency in Wales. In Pembrokeshire, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
Welsh-language text is optional on supplement labels. If you add it, both languages must be accurate and the mandatory text must still meet the 1.2 mm minimum x-height.
Start with our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
