Label rules that apply in Bielside
Products you sell from Bielside must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of Food Standards Scotland. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team for East Lothian.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
Start with our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Bielside questions
What label suits a powder tub?
Laminated white PP. It stands up to powder, moisture and handling, and doesn’t lift on a curved tub.
Do you send samples?
Yes. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Bielside, so you can feel the materials and finishes before you order.
What’s the smallest run you print?
No fixed minimum. Small runs from 250 labels are common for new products, and you can combine several designs in one order.
How long does delivery to Bielside take?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. Printing takes 3 to 5 working days after you approve the proof, so the majority of Bielside orders arrive about a week after you send artwork.
Do I need to be based in Bielside to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Bielside orders go by tracked delivery to EH42.
