Common questions in Callington
Who checks supplement labels in Cornwall?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Cornwall, with national oversight from the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Which material is best for a protein tub?
Laminated white PP. It stands up to powder, moisture and handling, and stays put on curved plastic.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
Do you only work with Callington businesses?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Callington deliveries go out by tracked courier to PL17.
When will my labels arrive in Callington?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days after you approve the proof, so the majority of Callington orders arrive about a week after you send artwork.

Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Callington
Any food supplement sold from Callington must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
