Any food supplement sold from Chapel of Garioch must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by Food Standards Scotland. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.

Common questions in Chapel of Garioch
Do you only work with Chapel of Garioch businesses?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Chapel of Garioch orders go by tracked courier to AB51.
Do you add batch numbers and best-before dates?
We can. Our digital press adds a batch code and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
How long does delivery to Chapel of Garioch take?
Usually two working days after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days from proof approval, so most Chapel of Garioch orders arrive about a week after you send artwork.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
Who enforces food labelling in Aberdeenshire?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Aberdeenshire, overseen nationally by Food Standards Scotland. For advice councils must respect, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
