Questions from Dores brands
Do you add batch numbers and best-before dates?
We can. Our digital press adds a different batch and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
Do you only work with Dores businesses?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Dores orders go by tracked delivery to IV2.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Dores?
Dores is in Scotland, so the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003 cover your label, together with the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
How long does delivery to Dores take?
Usually two working days after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days after you approve the proof, so most Dores orders arrive within about a week of sending artwork.
Which material is best for a protein tub?
Laminated white PP. It stands up to powder, moisture and handling, and stays put on curved plastic.
Rules in Scotland
Label rules that apply in Dores
Any food supplement sold from Dores must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, overseen by Food Standards Scotland. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
Begin with our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
