Rules in Scotland
Labelling law for supplements from Echt
Any food supplement sold from Echt must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by Food Standards Scotland. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff for Aberdeenshire.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
Begin with our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Questions from Echt brands
How long does delivery to Echt take?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. Printing takes 3 to 5 working days after you approve the proof, so most Echt orders arrive within about a week of sending artwork.
What label suits a powder tub?
Laminated white PP. It stands up to powder, moisture and handling, and doesn’t lift on a curved tub.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
Is there a minimum order?
No fixed minimum. Small runs from 250 labels are common for new products, and you can mix several designs in one order.
Do I need to be based in Echt to order?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Echt deliveries go by tracked courier to AB32.
