Questions from Gowkshill brands
Which material is best for a protein tub?
Laminated white PP. It stands up to powder, moisture and handling, and doesn’t lift on a curved tub.
When will my labels arrive in Gowkshill?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. Printing takes 3 to 5 working days from proof approval, so most Gowkshill orders arrive within about a week of sending artwork.
Do I need to be based in Gowkshill to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Gowkshill deliveries go by tracked courier to EH23.
Can you print batch codes and dates?
We can. Variable data printing adds a batch code and date to each run, so there’s no need for a coder on short runs.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Gowkshill?
Gowkshill is in Scotland, so the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003 cover your label, together with the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.

Label rules that apply in Gowkshill
Supplements sold from Gowkshill must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, overseen by Food Standards Scotland. Locally, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff for Midlothian.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
