Rules in Wales
Labelling law for supplements from Gresford
Supplements sold from Gresford must meet the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency in Wales. In Wrexham, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
Welsh-language text is optional on supplement labels. If you add it, both languages must be accurate and the mandatory text must still meet the 1.2 mm minimum x-height.
Start with our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Gresford orders go by tracked courier to LL12.
Can you print batch codes and dates?
Yes. Our digital press adds a batch code and date to each run, so there’s no need for a coder on short runs.
Who checks supplement labels in Wrexham?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Wrexham, with national oversight from the Food Standards Agency in Wales. For advice councils must respect, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
