FAQs for Hotham
Do you send samples?
Yes. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Hotham, so you can feel the materials and finishes before you order.
Who enforces food labelling in East Riding of Yorkshire?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for East Riding of Yorkshire, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. For advice councils must respect, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Which material is best for a protein tub?
Laminated white PP. It copes with powder, moisture and handling, and stays put on curved plastic.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Hotham?
Hotham is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 cover your label, alongside the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
