Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Measham
Products you sell from Measham must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers.
One label works across England, Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
Begin with our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Measham questions
Do you add batch numbers and best-before dates?
We can. Our digital press adds a different batch and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
Do I need to be based in Measham to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Measham deliveries go out by tracked delivery to DE12.
What’s the smallest run you print?
There’s no fixed minimum. Small runs from 250 labels are common for new products, and you can combine several designs in one order.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes, we can. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Measham address, so you can feel the materials and finishes.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
