Nether Alderley questions
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
Who enforces food labelling in Cheshire East?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Cheshire East, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. For advice councils must respect, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Nether Alderley?
Nether Alderley is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 apply, as well as the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Do you add batch numbers and best-before dates?
Yes. Variable data printing adds a batch code and date to each run, so there’s no need for a coder on short runs.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes, we can. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Nether Alderley, showing our materials and finishes before you order.
