Rules in England
Supplement labelling rules for Pontshill
Products you sell from Pontshill must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Herefordshire.
One label works across England, Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

FAQs for Pontshill
Do you only work with Pontshill businesses?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Pontshill deliveries go by tracked courier to HR9.
Is there a minimum order?
There’s no fixed minimum. Many new brands start with 250 labels, and you can combine several designs in one order.
When will my labels arrive in Pontshill?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days after you approve the proof, so the majority of Pontshill orders arrive about a week after you send artwork.
Can you print batch codes and dates?
Yes. Variable data printing adds a different batch and date to each run, so there’s no need for a coder on short runs.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
