Supplement labelling rules for Porchfield
Products you sell from Porchfield must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff for Isle of Wight.
One label works across England, Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Common questions in Porchfield
When will my labels arrive in Porchfield?
Usually two working days after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days after you approve the proof, so the majority of Porchfield orders arrive about a week after you send artwork.
What’s the smallest run you print?
There’s no fixed minimum. Small runs from 250 labels are common for new products, and you can mix several designs in one order.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes. Request a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Porchfield address, so you can feel the materials and finishes.
Which material is best for a protein tub?
Laminated white PP. It stands up to powder, moisture and handling, and doesn’t lift on a curved tub.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
