Rules in England
Supplement labelling rules for Potash
Products you sell from Potash must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Suffolk.
You can sell the same label in Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
Begin with our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

FAQs for Potash
What’s the smallest run you print?
There’s no fixed minimum. Short runs from 250 labels are common for new products, and you can combine several designs in one order.
When will my labels arrive in Potash?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days after you approve the proof, so the majority of Potash orders arrive about a week after you send artwork.
Do you add batch numbers and best-before dates?
We can. Our digital press adds a batch code and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
Do I need to be based in Potash to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Potash deliveries go out by tracked delivery to IP9.
