Supplement labelling rules for Rhos
Any food supplement sold from Rhos must meet the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency in Wales. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team.
Welsh-language text is optional on supplement labels. If you add it, both languages must be accurate and the mandatory text must still meet the 1.2 mm minimum x-height.
Start with our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Questions from Rhos brands
When will my labels arrive in Rhos?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. Printing takes 3 to 5 working days from proof approval, so the majority of Rhos orders arrive about a week after you send artwork.
Do you send samples?
Yes, we can. Request a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Rhos, showing our materials and finishes before you order.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
Do you only work with Rhos businesses?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Rhos orders go out by tracked courier to SA8.
Which material is best for a protein tub?
Laminated white PP. It stands up to powder, moisture and handling, and stays put on curved plastic.
