Products you sell from Salehurst must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team.
One label works across England, Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
Begin with our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Common questions in Salehurst
Do you add batch numbers and best-before dates?
Yes. Variable data printing adds a different batch and date to each run, so there’s no need for a coder on short runs.
Which material is best for a protein tub?
Laminated white PP. It copes with powder, moisture and handling, and doesn’t lift on a curved tub.
Who enforces food labelling in East Sussex?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for East Sussex, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Do you only work with Salehurst businesses?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Salehurst deliveries go out by tracked courier to TN32.
What’s the smallest run you print?
There’s no fixed minimum. Small runs from 250 labels are common for new products, and you can combine several designs in one order.
