Rules in Wales
Label rules that apply in Slough
Any food supplement sold from Slough must meet the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency in Wales. Locally, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
Welsh-language text is optional on supplement labels. If you add it, both languages must be accurate and the mandatory text must still meet the 1.2 mm minimum x-height.
Start with our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Slough questions
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Slough?
Slough is in Wales, so the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003 apply, alongside the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
When will my labels arrive in Slough?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days from proof approval, so most Slough orders arrive within about a week of sending artwork.
What label suits a powder tub?
Laminated white PP. It copes with powder, moisture and handling, and doesn’t lift on a curved tub.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
Do you only work with Slough businesses?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Slough orders go by tracked delivery to LD8.
