Questions from Townshend brands
Do you add batch numbers and best-before dates?
We can. Our digital press adds a batch code and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
Do you send samples?
Yes, we can. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Townshend address, showing our materials and finishes.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
When will my labels arrive in Townshend?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. Printing takes 3 to 5 working days after you approve the proof, so most Townshend orders arrive about a week after you send artwork.
Who enforces food labelling in Cornwall?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Cornwall, with national oversight from the Food Standards Agency. For advice councils must respect, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
