Common questions in Turfhill
Do you add batch numbers and best-before dates?
Yes. Variable data printing adds a different batch and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
When will my labels arrive in Turfhill?
Usually two working days after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days after you approve the proof, so the majority of Turfhill orders arrive within about a week of sending artwork.
Do you only work with Turfhill businesses?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Turfhill deliveries go out by tracked delivery to AB53.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
Which material is best for a protein tub?
White polypropylene with a laminate. It stands up to powder, moisture and handling, and stays put on curved plastic.

Rules in Scotland
Label rules that apply in Turfhill
Supplements sold from Turfhill must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of Food Standards Scotland. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
