Woodmansey questions
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes, we can. Request a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Woodmansey, showing our materials and finishes before you order.
Can you print batch codes and dates?
Yes. Our digital press adds a different batch and date to each run, so there’s no need for a coder on short runs.
Do I need to be based in Woodmansey to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Woodmansey orders go by tracked delivery to HU17.
Which material is best for a protein tub?
White polypropylene with a laminate. It copes with powder, moisture and handling, and stays put on curved plastic.
Rules in England
Label rules that apply in Woodmansey
Products you sell from Woodmansey must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. In East Riding of Yorkshire, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team for East Riding of Yorkshire.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
