Supplement labelling rules for Ysbyty Ystwyth
Any food supplement sold from Ysbyty Ystwyth must meet the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency in Wales. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Ceredigion.
Welsh-language text is optional on supplement labels. If you add it, both languages must be accurate and the mandatory text must still meet the 1.2 mm minimum x-height.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
