Common questions in Burghill
Is there a minimum order?
No fixed minimum. Short runs from 250 labels are common for new products, and you can combine several designs in one order.
Can you print batch codes and dates?
Yes. Variable data printing adds a batch code and date to each run, so there’s no need for a coder on short runs.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Burghill?
Burghill is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 apply, as well as the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Do you only work with Burghill businesses?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Burghill orders go by tracked courier to HR4.
What label suits a powder tub?
Laminated white PP. It copes with powder, moisture and handling, and stays put on curved plastic.

Rules in England
Supplement labelling rules for Burghill
Products you sell from Burghill must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
