Caerhowel questions
When will my labels arrive in Caerhowel?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. Printing takes 3 to 5 working days from proof approval, so most Caerhowel orders arrive about a week after you send artwork.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
What’s the smallest run you print?
No fixed minimum. Small runs from 250 labels are common for new products, and you can combine several designs in one order.
What label suits a powder tub?
White polypropylene with a laminate. It stands up to powder, moisture and handling, and doesn’t lift on a curved tub.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes, we can. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Caerhowel address, so you can feel the materials and finishes.
Rules in Wales
Labelling law for supplements from Caerhowel
Products you sell from Caerhowel must meet the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency in Wales. In Powys, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team.
Welsh-language text is optional on supplement labels. If you add it, both languages must be accurate and the mandatory text must still meet the 1.2 mm minimum x-height.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
