Common questions in Montgomery
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
Do you send samples?
Yes, we can. Request a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Montgomery, so you can feel the materials and finishes.
What’s the smallest run you print?
There’s no fixed minimum. Many new brands start with 250 labels, and you can combine several designs in one order.
How long does delivery to Montgomery take?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days from proof approval, so the majority of Montgomery orders arrive about a week after you send artwork.
Who enforces food labelling in Powys?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Powys, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency in Wales. For advice councils must respect, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.

Any food supplement sold from Montgomery must meet the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003, overseen by the Food Standards Agency in Wales. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers.
Welsh-language text is optional on supplement labels. If you add it, both languages must be accurate and the mandatory text must still meet the 1.2 mm minimum x-height.
