FAQs for Longformacus
How long does delivery to Longformacus take?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. Printing takes 3 to 5 working days from proof approval, so most Longformacus orders arrive within about a week of sending artwork.
Do you send samples?
Yes. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Longformacus, showing our materials and finishes before you order.
Can you print batch codes and dates?
We can. Variable data printing adds a different batch and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
Which material is best for a protein tub?
White polypropylene with a laminate. It copes with powder, moisture and handling, and doesn’t lift on a curved tub.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Longformacus?
Longformacus is in Scotland, so the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003 cover your label, as well as the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.

Rules in Scotland
Labelling law for supplements from Longformacus
Any food supplement sold from Longformacus must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, overseen by Food Standards Scotland. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team for the Scottish Borders.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
