Rules in England
Supplement labelling rules for Soulbury
Supplements sold from Soulbury must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, overseen by the Food Standards Agency. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers.
You can sell the same label in Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
Begin with our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Soulbury questions
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes, we can. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Soulbury, showing our materials and finishes before you order.
Do you only work with Soulbury businesses?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Soulbury orders go by tracked courier to LU7.
Do you add batch numbers and best-before dates?
Yes. Our digital press adds a different batch and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
Who checks supplement labels in Central Bedfordshire?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Central Bedfordshire, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
