FAQs for Staythorpe
Is there a minimum order?
No fixed minimum. Small runs from 250 labels are common for new products, and you can combine several designs in one order.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
Can you print batch codes and dates?
Yes. Our digital press adds a batch code and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
Who enforces food labelling in Nottinghamshire?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Nottinghamshire, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. For advice councils must respect, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Do you only work with Staythorpe businesses?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Staythorpe deliveries go by tracked courier to NG23.

Rules in England
Supplement labelling rules for Staythorpe
Any food supplement sold from Staythorpe must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, overseen by the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers for Nottinghamshire.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
